what we do…

Jesus Booth Ministries is a street ministry aimed at reaching the lost and un-churched, as Jesus commands us to preach the good news to every living creature (Mark 16:15). We are ready-made “ticket-like” booth with signs on al four sides saying “Information About Jesus.” The booth is equipped with Bibles, apologetic books and pamphlets. We provide this for your Christian group. We conduct our ministry in a gentle, non-abrasive, non-threatening manner as commanded by Scripture; “…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…” (1 Peter 3:15, NIV).

who can do it…

As a street ministry, we come from all walks of life; one need not be in the clergy or be a Bible-scholar to involve themselves in this important service. The only requirements needed are: a passionate love for Jesus and the lost, and an avid willingness to trust and be led of the Holy Spirit- understanding that the guidance of a more mature Christian is greatly valued. Since we believe that confrontational street preaching may not always be fruitful, we want to convey to the lost and un-churched our genuine concern and love for them.

why we do it…

We have a passion for the lost, especially for those who do not “like” church. We sense that most people outside the Body do not feel that they have a need for God, and so they look and keep looking elsewhere. We present the Gospel in a manner to which they can relate, and try to answer their questions to their most important needs. We understand that as a street ministry, many may come to us with brokenness, anger, fear, or any other issue that may hinder them from experiencing the full life of Jesus intended for them. We want to relate to THEM on THEIR level and BEFRIEND THEM, as Jesus was “a friend…of sinners” (Luke 7:35). It is our desire to make this ministry available to ALL churches and Christian organizations that are interested, that have a vision for reaching those in “the streets and alleys of the town” (Luke 14:21, NIV).

how we do it…

We prefer to work together at least in pairs, as Jesus commanded (Luke 10:1). We feel that much opposition may come from the outside, and some may want to argue. We, however, exercise kindness. “And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.” (2 Timothy 2:24-25, NIV). We rely on the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the power of God’s word to move on peoples’ hearts, and we know it is the Father who draws them to Jesus (John 6:44). Therefore, we greatly depend on intercessory prayer before, during and after being in the booth. When we have our Bibles, books and tracts ready, I am amazed at how easy it is, because the Holy Spirit takes care of the rest, giving me the words to say to the right person at the right time.

our vision…

We feel that this is a fertile ministry, and with eagerness, encourage your involvement. Much of the lost and un-churched are making decisions that determine the course of the rest of their lives. Therefore it is important for us as Christians to be out there in our communities where the people are, whether it is at the mall, university, or any other place where people gather. A Jesus Booth is an excellent method for anyone interested in getting out there to plant and water seeds of the Gospel. We envision a Jesus Booth wherever people gather in every city. By doing this, those who do not, for many reasons, go to church can still have the opportunity to find that the answer to all of their most important questions is Jesus and His salvation.

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news!”
– Romans 10:13
